“Sundowning” by Sara Europeaus description: “In Sundowning I research memory loss to decode my fear of following all my grandmother’s footprints to dementia. The work describes the transitional space between remembering and forgetting, using fantasy and imagination as a coping mechanism to fear. The composition is built with the inspiration of exchanging with a representative of Alzheimer center Amsterdam, and collective movement exploration researching ‘methods of forgetting’ to challenge the performers’ memory in real-time.”
